Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive
Background:
The WEEE Directive seeks to increase the amount of waste electrical and electronic equipment that is recycled. The Directive asks producers to take back used products – without charge to consumers – and to recycle them. Following a recast procedure, this piece of legislation will apply to PV panels as of its entry into force.
