Objective: stimulate research achievements and technology transfer from laboratories to industry applications and improve the financing of PV R&D in particular through the Seventh European Research Framework Programme (FP7).  

To reach this objective the following activities are undertaken:

• Involvement and contribution to the European PV Technology Platform working group on Science and technology (WG3)
• Involvement in the project “Performance”

The "Performance" project aims at providing the PV community with tools to measure the quality of products – devices, systems and services – to ensure their usefulness and reliability, and to deliver data to predict the useful lifetime of the products. The project will develop reliable test & calibration procedures for standard and for innovative types of PV modules. It will harmonise measurement and evaluation techniques for PV systems. PERFORMANCE will cover all relevant aspects from cell to system level and from instantaneous device characterisation and system measurements to life-time performance prediction and assessment.
